We, members of the Danish Parliament, have been informed that Borhan Diwargar, human right
activist, member of the pursuing committee of the Free Organizations of Labour,
member of founding directors of the national organization of unemployed
workers, member of the Bakery Syndicate in Saqez and
director of the Children’s Society in Saqez was arrested
at his home and was taken to detention.
We strongly condemn Mr. Diwargar’s arrest and
hereby demand his unconditional release.
Organizing May Day calibration and other civil activities for children
and labours’ rights, the grounds for Borhan’s imprisonment,
are the basic rights of an individual in every modern society.
