آقای رييس جمهوری اسلامی ايران

مطلع شديم که آقای برهان ديوارگر يکشنبه ۷ سپتامبر ۲۰۰۵ در شهر سقز دستکير شده است. صبح همانروز او را به دادگاه برده اند و متهم شده است که کارگران را سازمان داده و از خواستهايشان حمايت کرده است. از آنموقع تا حالا او در زندان و دور از دسترش خانواده اش قرار دارد.

حق تشکل، مبارزه برای شغل و استخدام بهبود شرايط کار، پرداخت کامل دستمزد و همه اينها از پرنسيپهايی است که در سطح جهان و از طرف سازمان جهانی کار و سازمان ملل مورد پذيرش و احترام است. کشور شما عضو اين سازمانهای بين المللی و به اين قوانين متعهد است.

دستگير کردن شهروندان به خاطر فعاليتهای اتحاديه ای مغاير اين پرنسيپهای بين المللی است. بنا بر اين ما از شما ميخواهيم که در اسرع وقت آقای برهان ديوارگر و ديگر شهروندان را که حقوق مدنی خود را ميخواهند، آزاد کنيد.

We have learned that Mr. Borhan Dyvangar was arrested on Sunday the ۷th of September ۲۰۰۵ in the city of Saqz. In the morning of the same day he was taken to court and accused of organizing workers as well as encouraging them to support strike of of the workers. Since that he has been isolated from his family - disappeared.

The right to organize, fight for jobs and employment, decent working conditions, salary for completed work - all these principles are respected universally. International Labour Organization and United Nations included. Your country is a member in these organizations and thus committed itself to these same courses of action.

Arresting citizens because of their trade union activity is in severe contradition to these principle. That is why we ask you to take immediate measures to release Mr. Borham Dyvanger and other citizens who are just following their civil rights.
